The story behind Rite PMS
Rite Software OÜ was founded by a team with dual expertise that is rare in maritime software: working marine superintendents who understand the real-world demands of vessel operations, paired with professional software developers who know how to build tools that are fast, reliable, and maintainable in production.
The idea for Rite PMS came directly from operational frustration. Existing PMS tools were either cloud-dependent (useless in remote waters), overly complex (requiring days of training per user), or priced per seat in ways that punished growing fleets. We believed a better system was possible - so we built one.
We deployed early versions on vessels we operate ourselves. We lived with the limitations, iterated on the feedback from our own crew and shore team, and only began selling to external operators once we were confident the product could handle the demands of professional fleet management.
Today, Rite PMS is used by fleet operators across Northern Europe - managing planned maintenance, requisitions, certificates, and invoice processing from the Baltic to the North Sea.
